Arts, Culture and Life in Midtown

Midtown, Atlanta, is many things. One of those is the neighborhood’s recognition as the arts and culture center of the city. You’ll find many things in Midtown, from families to singles, from shops and restaurants to schools and churches. Many people are finding that Midtown is a fantastic place to work and play. Businesses are finding that the area is perfect for many types of business, from boutiques to art galleries to neighborhood stores. Entrepreneurs make up a large percentage of the people that come to Midtown every year. There is an incredible amount of things to do and see in the area, all with a great atmosphere and some of the most fantastic art in the city.

A Center Seat

One of the best things about living in Midtown is the center seat that residents get out of the deal. Midtown, as the name implies is right in the middle of the action. Residents get to live, work and play right in the heart of the city. This also lets visitors and residents get to and from everything within the city easily, whether it’s a sports event like a Braves game or one of the city’s many festivals or conventions. Midtown residents are able to get to two major Interstate highways easily, I-85 and I-75 and the 285 loop is only a few miles away. Centrally located, all of Atlanta’s other suburbs are a quick ride away. Midtown businesses also prosper due to the neighborhood’s central location, allowing them to service customers all over the city and beyond from a central location.

The Scene

Midtown is home to a large number of artists, craftspeople and musicians. Residents of the area tend to be friendly and open minded, content to live their lives without judging others. This provides for a fantastic sense of community in the neighborhood, drawing the many different residents and business owners together to form a close knit family. Midtown is a hotspot for art galleries, with many of them hosting the works of famous and not so famous local artists. The nightlife is another big draw, with bars, restaurants and clubs, Midtown offers residents a lot to do after the sun goes down. There are some fantastic restaurants in the area, as well, from national chains to local favorites; you’ll find some great places to eat. From Bacchanalia to the Brio Tuscan Grill, you’ll find many different cuisines to sate your appetite.
