I have lived in Alexander on Ponce (previously Alexan Terrace, , management changed the name because of how many bad reviews were being written about them) for a little over 2 years now. It is a great place for people going to college in atlanta. Its got decent rooms with good square footage for mediocre rates.
One reason I say college kids is that I am one and its been alright. The primary reason though is that they generally don't have any valuables to worry about and many don't have cars to deal with. If you fit either of these later descriptions stay far far away. I personally have had my car broken into 6 times. In one of these instances, it was broken into by someone in the building. Every single resident I have ever met who lived there more than a month had their car broken into at least once, and generally multiple times. I met a man moving out this morning who had his fiance's jewlery box stolen while he was on the elevator taking his sofa to the truck. (he had three break-ins in his 2 months there) The total number I personally know of is somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-70 in the two years I've been there. Management is fully aware of this and has yet to put up so much as a camera to deter thieves. The "business center" has not had anything functional in it for about 1 and a half years. The gym is missing weights. The bottom garage gate breaks once a week and is broken as of this writing. These are things that don't bother a college student so much. To that end there are better priced, less sketchy complexes I'd rather live in.
If you do run into a problem in your residence there, don't expect ANY help from management. They have a 'policy' for everything you can think of to prevent them from being able to help you. From putting up cameras to stop thieves, to helping you retrieve your package they just lost there is something written somewhere that lets them blow you off.
The actual rooms themselves are nice though.
