Apartment Review for Alta Old 4Th Ward - Atlanta, GA

I would not recommend moving to Alta. This place is highly overrated and overpriced. There is constantly loud noise in the hallways coming from people purposely yelling down the hallways and people talking on speaker phone as they walk down the hallways. In addition, it seems that everyone here walks their dogs off the lease, in the hallways, in the dog areas and outside the building. I have encountered many residents with their dogs off the lease and charge towards me and my dog. The owners seem to think it funny but it is very scary. Also, residents let their dogs out of their apartments to run freely and unsupervised in the dog areas. There are many, many pit bulls and chows with no supervision running freely. Also no one seems to be able to pick up their dog's mess. There is mess in the hallways, on the sidewalks outside and even in the parking garage. Also, residents speed in the parking garage. I have almost been hit several times by cars speeding in the garage. The metal arm to the gate for the garage has been broken several times by people trying to speed in before it closes. This place is not safe and I would reconsider if thinking to move here. There are better, safer and cheaper options than Alta.
