When I first came here for a tour, The staff was all smiles & very attentive. I was shown a beautiful "model" unit with new carpet, cabinets, frest paint, sparkling new appliances, & a clean fresh smell, and was assured that my unit would look just like it. When I finally got to see my unit (after I signed my lease (which I never was furnished a copy of)....my unit looked like a dump with stained carpet, appliances & countertops being held together with some kind of glue, walls that appeared to be several different shades of white, & what I can only describe as a very strange odor. I never had allergies, but I have developed a mild hacking cough here. When I applied, I made management knew that I had pets & gladly paid my pet fee. At the lease signing, the Rental Agent informed me that she had made a mistake & I would have to pay an additional $250.00. About a week after, the Agent called me & stated that the Manager was demanding another $400.00 to cover any damage my dogs might incur...She said that the Manager had said that if I didn't want to pay it, that I could move & that they would sue to collect the 12 months rent. I was so frustrated & exhausted from moving & starting a new job that I went ahead & paid the extra fees. Even though I asked for a copy of the receipts & a copy of my rental agreement on at least 3 different occasions....I never received it. I was always told that the Manager had to "sign off" on it & that she would do it soon. Note...of course I never received a penny of this "deposit" even though I left the apt in as good or better condition than I got it, even though I went through 2 flooding due to the inferior plumbing. I also would like to state that I can hear every step my upstairs neighbors make & sometimes can even hear them talking. Parking is bad & if you work evenings like I do, you have to park in dark, unlit areas not near your own apt. The security gate rarely works & security light are out frequently. I would describe my year of living here as one big, frustrating headache & wish that I had looked elsewhere.
