Apartment Review
Ooo, I wouldn't do it....

I've lived here since July 2008, and it has been, by far, THE WORST PLACE I've ever had the bad fortune of living in. And I've lived in some places. Although I could talk about a lot of things, like the periodic flooding from the leaky pipes, the fact that the temperatures is set to a scalding 77 degrees in the gym, or the fact that the "gym" consists of two treadmills for the entire building, the fact that they promise you a clubroom when you sign the lease, but then keep it locked at all times and ask for a nonrefundable $50 fee in order to use it, or the various creepy bugs that somehow get into the units even though there is a screen on the windows (I won't even open my windows now, because these bugs are like huge wilderness bugs, not even the centipedes or random tiny roaches/ants that I've seen in the past), but I think the thing that really stood out was management. I've never met such incompetent, lazy people in my life. Ever. For the past several months I've been trying to get them to ask my neighbor to turn his bass down, and even after all this correspondence, after all this dialogue, Management still said to me just yesterday "...so, what do you want exactly?" And then to top it off, the Director of Operations herself asked me to come up with solutions. It took everything in me to not point out that I was not getting paid for that. But I believe she was. Put my behind on payroll if you want me to do your job for you. I've given up now, cause if they'll stoop that low as to pretend to not be able to come up with solutions, they're obviously determined not to help out. I wish I could go back in time, cause I would NEVER, EVER EVER, not in a million years, chose to relive this year in this awful building. I'd like to continue my list of grievances here: the underground parking which is set up SO poorly that cars barely have enough space to make it safely into their spaces without scratching adjacent cars or the wall, the door of the garage which takes, no lie, like TWO PAINFULLY SLOW MINUTES to open (leading to a heart attack if you're ever in a rush somewhere), the pool which they show you as an amenity but which is never open, the fact that management is always letting themselves into your apartment unannounced (you learn to make sure you close the bathroom door when you're in the shower, you never know when they're gonna pop in), the personal e-mails Management is always sending out over the building list-serv ("Trying to sell these Hawks tickets, $45/each or $70 for the pair" "Get your girlscout cookies!!!") but how they seem to never have time to attend to any of your requests (like please, PLEASE can you cut the HEATER off in the Fitness room cause it's MAY in Atlanta!).... sigh. I hope this saves you from making the same mistake I did.
