Glaring problems - Top Ten Why I Won't Return
Review Date: 1/28/2009
Reviewer: Anonymous

The apartment itself is not ugly inside. 90% of the time, it's also pretty quiet. However, many things have led me to conclusion that i'm getting out of here as soon as possible. Despite being in good proximity to many local establishments (cameli's, the local, mjq, masquerade, and less than 1.5 miles from little 5), the negatives outweigh this one benefit easily. 1.Our key gets stuck in the lock. Multiple complaints to the office resulted in no action taken. 2.When our dishwasher started leaking out under the tile, the 'solution' was to wipe up the water with my roommate's towel. This ruined the towel and the problem continued for 2 more weeks without resolution, creating unsanitary conditions in the kitchen area. 3. When water drips into the sink, it turns the bowl of the sink pink with ecoli bacteria. 4. It is suspected that the maintenance budget is linked to the staff's bonuses, resulting in not only poor responses to requests, but also a hostile environment when voicing complaints. 5. They will not notify you of packages, they will sit in the office until you claim them. 6. The lighting on the interior is poor. 7. There is a gay bar (Model T's) outside the entrance where several male prostitutes solicit sex in the parking lot. The act is carried out in the side lot next to the entrance to the covered parking for ford factory. 8. There are always multiple homeless people soliciting outside the entrance to the apartment. 9. Poor insulation and wiring result in higher than usual energy costs, as well as problems with internet and cable connections. 10. Drug deals in the parking lot are common place, and many of the deals are made by residents. Not to mention, this place isn't particularly cheap. I could understand were there a price break. My guess is that this can only go on for a few more years before deterioration lead to either a massive change here or a local government intervention for code violations/mold infestations, ect.
