Apartment Review for Gramercy At Buckhead - Atlanta, GA

Honestly, I don't usually take the time to write reviews about establishments unless I feel very strongly one way or the other. In this case, I have to voice my opinion and warn potential renters NOT to rent at this building. It has the absolute worst security you could imagine; I couldn't agree more that the security "guard" or patrolman (whatever you want to call him) is simply there to keep up appearances. The management is completely clueless as to what exactly goes on in the building; they do virtually nothing about the rampant break-ins and thefts occuring not only in the apartments themselves but also to the cars in the garage. I do not feel comfortable AT ALL walking around the building even in broad daylight (which is when the majority of the apartment break-ins seem to occur). I almost went so far as to get a dog to feel more secure; it is that bad. Regarding the parking situation, if you come home anytime after 6:00 PM you are LUCKY if you get a space on your floor. Forget about going out for a dance class or to dinner and thinking you'll get a spot on your floor; guests park wherever they want and do not get towed. The management rarely if ever tows cars and when you complain, they say they'll do something about it but NEVER do. Regarding the constant partying, you will never sleep while living in this building. Not only are the apartments cheaply made which contributes to the noise problem but the residents act as though they are still in college. Seriously, blasting your music at all hours of the night on a daily basis is a little old once you graduate. Grow up and be respectful of other people living around you. And, once again, don't even think about complaining to the management because they do not do a damn thing about it. Lastly, if you choose to rent here, don't think that you will get to use the facilities that you pay for. Guests are constantly using the pool, trashing the garage with beer bottles and glass, not cleaning up after their dogs (yes, I've seen guests bringing in their dogs to use the dog run), pulling fire alarms in the middle of the night to get out of the building (as another commenter mentioned), breaking the gate system and using the gym. It's a complete nightmare and I seriously urge you, if you are a potential renter, to reconsider a decision to rent at Gramercy at Buckhead.
