Apartment Review for Gramercy At Buckhead - Atlanta, GA

This place is horrible. We chose to move in based on the proximity to where we worked and the Buckhead bars. The management/office staff is far and away the worst part about the complex. They are all arrogant, obnoxious, and completely incompetent - they refuse to let you have maintenance performed unless you supply a complaint in writing and have come up with tons of ways to charge you with things that you were told would be free. When we moved in we were told that we would get and assigned parking space - this never happened, and is a huge problem because there is no security. If you get home past 6pm there is no way that you can park on your floor because tons of people that don't live in complex already have. The spaces are so small that they are virtually unusable unless you have a compact car, which makes the parking situation even worse. LAST WEEK THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY HAD FINISHED ASSIGNING PARKING SPACES, AND THEN ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WOULD BE CHARGING FOR THOSE SPACES!!! EVEN WORSE THEY ARE NOW CHARGING FOR GUEST PARKING - THEREFORE I CANNOT HAVE ANYONE OVER WITHOUT BUY A MINIMUM ONE WEEK PASS FOR $25!!!! This place is a joke. No one respects the common areas. There are always tons of non-residents at the pool, who bring tons of family and children. Its obvious that they aren't residents, since they have to be let in every time that they try to use the facilities. There are broken bottles all over the place - its terrible. The leasing office has let themselves into our apartment several times without asking, which is totally illegal, and considering the thugs that run this place, completely unsafe. No one picks up after their dog, and there is poo everywhere - its disgusting. You aren't supposed to have a dog over 35lbs, but there are animals well over twice that everywhere - meaning the people clearly haven't paid the pet deposit. They give you tons of "concessions" when you move in - so you have to pay them all back in order to get out of your lease - making it fiscally irresponsible for any intelligent person. We have 6 months left on our lease and trying to find any way possible to get out of this place. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE - YOU WILL REGRET IT. THE LOCATION ISN'T WORTH IT!!!!
