Apartment Review for Gramercy At Buckhead - Atlanta, GA

When I moved here almost a year ago, I loved the look of the place, and I loved the location. I was shocked to find out my first day here that if I wanted to park anywhere near my apartment, I would have to pay at least $25 for a parking space. I was also very angry that I would be forced to use the valet trash service. They call this a convenience, but it is very inconvenient for people who work for a living! I've never used the service, but pay $25 for it every month. My unit is nice, except for the washer and dryer, which you are also forced to keep, even if you have your own. These are the cheapest washers and dryers ever made, and most of my clothes have been ruined. I have a very nice set, but the management will not let me use them. These apartments are so poorly built, you can hear everyone's toilet flushing. The hallways are very noisy, and the young women above me sound like elephants! The noise level on weekends is horrible! Drunk people are always screaming in the garage at all hours of the night. The garage is so dangerous, I've been nearly hit head on several times. There was a bad car accident on my level a couple of months ago. The bar on the gate is broken 95% of the time, and the security is really bad. If you ever have guests, forget it! Some weekends there is no parking at all, and if your guests do not park on the sixth floor, their car will get booted! Once, a guest of mine had to back down three levels after finding nowhere to park on the 6th level, and no place to turn around! Other people were trying to drive up, and it was a miracle there was no accident. The smell in the stairwells is horrid, and one of the elevators is out of order frequently. I was shocked at how much my rent was going up, so I'm moving out at the end of my lease. You can rent a nice condo in Buckhead for less, and the quality of tenants would be a far cry above the people who live here. This is by far the worst place I've ever lived. I agree with one person who said to beware of any of the good reviews you read here. Anyone writing a good review is either part of the office staff, or part of the crazy crowd who create most of the problems for everyone else here.
