Apartment Review for Gramercy At Buckhead - Atlanta, GA

I moved to The Gramercy in August 2009. This is the worst community I have ever lived in. I came home from work one day to find ours and our neighbor’s apartment flooded from a pipe in the storage room that burst. After speaking to the neighbors they stated this was the THIRD time this had happened to them and they would be moving out as soon as their lease expired. Several vehicles in the parking deck were broken into and one even stolen, all due to a broken gate. There is also such crappy security that they had no leads or any type of investigation was done into who damaged the vehicle. They don’t even have REAL security cameras... They are fake to detour crimes. The gate stays broken 75% of the time and non-residents are able to come and go as they please. THERE IS NO PARKING unless you pay $25 a month for a reserved spot. I was practically forced into renting a parking spot as I would not get home from class until 10:30 and was not comfortable having to park at the Taco Stand and walk home. My friends were booted several times for parking a few spots away from the designated visitor parking, which was full. The building is so poorly built, you can hear people going up the hall, toilets flushing, showers and dishwashers running. The pool is always like a party. I never even went to the pool because it was always overcrowded and it was so loud and wild that it was not relaxing at all. The office staff is horrible. They gave me mailbox keys that didn’t work and then blamed me for not knowing to use a key. The stairwells are horrible, on a Saturday or Sunday morning you can walk up and down the stairs of hallways and count probably 20 beers cans or bottles. I have been outside walking my dog before when guys from the parking decks were throwing glass bottles down at the animals at the grass. Residents allow their pets to use the restroom in the breezeway. Once morning I left my apt at 6am and someone had spewed blood all over the hallway and elevator.. Got back around 1 and it was all still there. Called the office and they advised they were working on it. Office has returned FedEx and overnight packages for my roommate and I. Point really is that the office sucks and the facility sucks. Oh and let’s not forget the poor woman that was murdered in her apartment a couple weeks ago (07/2010) in the middle of the day.
